Do you like playing cowboy and Indians? I do! This game was too much fun. As a cowboy fighting for his freedom from the Feds and trying to save his family, you are able to choose to be good or bad. The good side you save people from bandits or do missions for the Marshall. As the bad side you can rob anyone you want, kill anyone, and do basically anything you want in the game, although the Marshall will come for you.

There are two things that stuck out to me the most about this RPG. One was the perfect simulation of riding the horses, Complicated at first but once you get it down they come in handy. The other thing was the world map. Unlike other games this one is able to load the WHOLE world instantaneously without a loading period.

When I began this adventure I played for about 5 hours and it seemed that I was getting far into the game. To my surprise I wasn’t even close to half way done! It took me alot longer than I thought to beat this game, and there were many times I thought I was close but wasn’t. It kept me wanting more and thats what I got.

The ending was very nice. It was surprising and at the same time kind of a let down, definitely not expected. So if you want to travel to mexico and play poker with an old shooting legend then go get this game and ride them cowboy! :]

Have you committed all the 7 deadly sins and ended up running around the 9 circles of hell? I’m sure Dante didn’t think he would but thats where he ends up in this holy/unholy RPG. Dante’s Inferno satisfied all my needs in a game with his journey through hell.

The story takes place in the Medieval times where Dante is the grandest warrior and commits all of the seven deadly sins. He is on his quest to free his beloved Beatris’s soul from Lucifer. He must go through all the 9 circles of hell to reach her and I must say the developers did a great job on the world map. Each circle was made out of the sin basically, for example when you go through the circle of gluttony, you are in a giant stomach.

The boss fights were intense and took some focus along with timing. I love the fighting system, it compares to that of the God Of War series. There are so many different moves and combos along with magic. You can choose to focus more on unholy powers or holy powers, I found that most of your victims will fall easier to holy powers.

I give this game a 9/10 and was so much fun I hope they make another one. I recommend this game to you PS3 users cause thats the only way to play it Have fun in hell everyone.

Ever played a game that just made you wanna call in sick to work or maybe skip school for the day? Now i’m not saying do that BUT this game would be well worth it. Killzone 2 has honestly made me a firm believer that the PS3 has much more potential than the 360. The graphics during the clips and game play surpass that of the Xbox by far.

One of the main components of this FPS that really got me into it was the realistic shooting system. When you use your sights and move around with the helgast default weapon it takes a second to realign or else you will miss every shot. If you have ever played the first killzone, you know the weapons looked good for that day and age but now we are in a new era, and all the weapons show so much more detail and depth.

Finally the multiplayer mode. Now first off i’m not a fan of online console multiplayer game with the exception of COD. I prefer the Counter strike series but for once I was actually hooked on the Killzone online gaming system. Its pretty team based and has many different game modes that will keep you sucked into the game. If you go to killzone.com you can see all the clans that are there and I must say I haven’t seen a clan tournament game as organized as this one since CS 1.6 I was impressed. (Although we all know CZ and CSS tournaments blow everyones minds :] )

PLAY THIS GAME!! If you are a fan of the killzone series as I am, then you will be happy to hear that E3 showed a preview of the new Killzone 3 3D!!!!! OMG It looks great and I can guarantee you with 3D glasses it will be epicly amazing. So with this new info, go grab your controller and massacre the helgast nation.

Alan Wake was an interesting game to say the least. I am proud of it’s creators because the the intense game play and storyline throughout the game from beginning to end. The story was a little confusing at first because I didn’t understand the concept of what was going on, mainly because in the beginning it had me thinking everything was just a dream and he would go from reality to his dreams. Real case is that it is his story that he is writing that comes to life, the darkness consumes him and has him writing a story that would entirely kill everyone within darkness by the end. Alan Wake as you figure out a way to stop the darkness from taking over and writing your own ending to the story you so deviously created.

Throughout the game the main weapon to your success is your flashlight, and I’ll put it this way, if you didn’t have a flashlight you would want to kill yourself because there is no other way to fend of the darkness. I thought it was interesting how the developers included different sized flashlights for like the more difficult spots in the game. There is three different sizes: Regular, Heavy Duty, then a huge one that gets the job done no matter what.

The actual weapons and game play was fun through the end as well, sometimes I got irritated though when I needed to use the flashlight on a person before I could blow them away with my auto-shotty. Other weapons include: Pump Shotgun, Revolver, Hunting Rifle, Flare Gun, Flares, Flashbang’s. Personally I like using the main weapon, more of a challenge to fend off a shitload of darkness creatures using a revolver than just blowing them away like no tomorrow with a shot gun. Flares were somewhat a lame item to acquire and use throughout the game, all they do is get bright and the darkness hides from it until it is gone and then they come back for you. So unless you have a strategy to kill them after using a flare, don’t waste your time.

Ratings:

Game Play: 8.5/10

Graphics: 10/10 – I haven’t completed games in quite some time but this game just had the best visuals I have seen in ages. Such crisp and clear scenery and characters.

Controller: 8/10

Story: 8/10 – Mainly because it was confusing, and there are some things that I would have changed to make the story more intense, or a different way to continue the game rather than it coming to the final ending.

Let’s be honest here: I had no idea what this game was, when it was coming out, or who the creators of it were until someone told me about it. I walked into my local GameStop because I was bored with my games one day, and wanted to get some new challenges going. I traded in about 5-6 games, and I started asking the clerk behind the counter about games and what was good at the time. He told me and then finally started talking to me about games coming soon, and that I should reserve them now to get them right away. He started to tell me about this game Alan Wake, about a writer who’s world is turning into chaos because he is slipping between his reality and the story he has been writing. It was interesting, the idea of fiction intertwining with real life events and people in a video game.

Then he started telling me about how there are monsters/people in the game too, and that you also are running away from the cops. I felt so compelled just because the idea of the game, just sounds RIDICULOUS!… Once I was a little bleh about wanting to reserve it; The clerk went into detail more about the game play, the graphic detail of the game itself (not just the amazing movie parts), and etc. I was convinced. So I reserved the game. I reserved it months ago and just now recently purchased the game so that I can finally see how good it really is. Just begun the game but once I am done I will post a full review of the game. Till then check out this video of the game, or why not rent it or buy it yourself?

I am a huge fan of the original Dead Space, from the storyline throughout the entire game play to the weapons and monsters you had to defeat in order to keep yourself alive. The original though was somewhat difficult when it came to using the controller to its fullest, was a little odd here and there with the camera angles too. The creativity of the game was intense though, the game literally gave me a few scared every now and then while I was sitting on my couch relaxing. I was not to fond of the weapon system though, and the way you got to upgrade your weapons, armor, health and etc. It worked, but it could have been much better in my opinion.

So from what I have heard about the second Dead Space and from what I experienced playing the first one… I DO believe that Dead Space 2 will be worth it to go out and purchase it, more than likely you will want to get it the day of as well. I am not one of those midnight gamers, but I do think that for this game I might actually be waiting outside just to get one of the first copies.
